Sometimes when you try too hard. You get something corny, like my starting.
Today was BT2.0. Where students come from different schools in groups of four, to compete for a S$400 grand prize as well as to learn more about Business Travel, it being one of the rising trends of travel.
I was the group leader of Hilton, with the funny and high Tr03 people as the student hosts. Hahaa.. quite enjoyable la..since we dont have lessons and get to run around.
Starting was super boring. All talks and everything. Only when NRA came in to perform then everyone sort of woke up Lolll. I didnt sit in for the talks ^^ I was outside chit chatting because there were not alot of seats available inside the LT.
I think everything went well for Hilton. Nothing much went wrong. ^^ The games were also fun AND impressive. Like seriously. I thought the year 2s are gonna come up with the usual station games with cheap material and standard games. However, one class did a large F1 race track COMPLETE with landmarks of singapore made from paper and cardboard (Quite nicely done). Another had quite a range of Osim products and even had a video of them visiting a real SPA. The 'wine' (Sparkling juice) was in real wine glasses and the nachos and all were nice. There was also one station with 3 wii sets and a samsung 32 inch Full HD LCD TV(Quoted from yaowei) and a golf simulation session with some old guy that looks like a coach HAHA. Im really impressed with all the effort put in. But well...it is part of their project and there ARE marks. So i guess it's only right they put in that much effort.
Just in these months ive been in TRM, ive seen how busy the year 2s are. First was WOW day (For CEM I think...they have to plan a WHOLE event from scratch),abit of ASEAN, followed by planning the TRM camp, then now this BT2.0 (For a module called SPM?) Im sure there are more coming and although i dont share the amount of stress they underwent during the events, but i am proud to even be there for all of them, seeing how they operate and all and helping out. Glad to know that the seniors seem to really thrive under pressure LOL. Some were driven nuts(seriously high for no reason) but yet channeled the craziness into enthusiasm to continue the journey. ...But i KNOW that they cldnt have done these without abit of us too. ^^
I hope OUR batch of TRM students can rise up to the challenge. Like seriously, all the effort and late nights taken to finish these stuff, really needs committment. 'Free riders' are not welcome man. You better do something significant or risk cleaning up the entire event.
And also....i'm totally still in holiday mood. TOTALLY. I keep feeling that this week is still holiday, and we're going to school to listen to talks. Especially with this BT2.0 thing. Really make it still seem like holiday. I think next week with all the tutorials, comes the wake up call.
I shall end here. What i want most now is apparently sleep. Im close to recovering to full health.!
